Trump played the biggest role bar none. He kept the focus on himself throughout. He cut through the clutter of 19 Republican candidates and then had the spotlight in the heads up match up with Hillary.
You figure Fox News and MSNBC cancel one another out as their audiences are largely partisan anyway. So CNN had the biggest media impact. The leaks destroyed Hillary's already low trust numbers with the public.
That bullshit Comey pulled played a role too. I don't know if it cost her the election but it was the single biggest thing done to anyone in the campaign. It was pure bullshit and definitely partisan.
Funny how the incumbency advantage worked against her. He helped her initially, but it was far outweighed by his late comments that turned the momentum around.
Her problem is that the political baggage caught up with her. In politics it doesn't matter right/wrong, it is the perception of your character. And the public had a very negative perception of her, which allowed an awful Trump to win.
