There are certainly degrees of belief in any religion/philosophy. And there is no central authority in Islam. It's not like the Catholic Church and the Pope. There are all kinds of different sects. But there are some core beliefs that are universally held. I don't believe there are any Muslim majority countries that don't practice some form of Sharia. That isn't because a small minority is jamming it down their throats.

Anyway, I don't think anyone who has read my posts in this forum for any length of time would ever believe that I give a flying fuck which fantasy guy in the sky anyone chooses to pray to, right up until it starts bumping into me in real life.

Europe has been a post-Christian continent for quite some time. But their lifestyle is causing them to die. The native Europeans have very low birthrates in their countries. Meanwhile the Muslims are moving in and having 3 or 4 children per family. It's only a matter of time before the demographics completely shift.

The United States is not completely post-Christian. However, the trend for Millenials is not to go to church. So it will be interesting to see what happens when the Millenials take over.

Even atheists worship people or things. Whether it's money, fame, sex, musicians, sports stars, food, family, friends or hobbies everyone worships. The public universities are the churches of the atheists in America. The ironic thing is the liberal secular humanist is one of the most intolerant bigoted individuals there are. A lot of them have flown off the handle and hate anyone who voted for Trump.

There are certain characteristics of Islam that do seem to "have no borders" though. Child rape, inbreeding, spousal abuse...all occur at exponentially higher rates amongst the Muslim community. They may lack a central authority but in way that strengthens them, their code encourages behavior that AT BEST is taboo in the west. But, its attributed to a faultless prophet instead of the whims of a contemporary living man.

Though I support the right of churches to officiate the weddings they choose to officiate, I'm not sure their selectivity is particularly "beautiful." It also can't be good for their declining participation.

Ehh... this actually is a tricky issue. I certainly don't want anyone to be denied the ability to purchase basic goods and services... but I also don't want people to be forced to do business with anyone who asks. The point I was making is that even atheists worship people or things. People cannot stop worshiping. In place of the true God there are plenty of substitutes that people worship instead of the true God. In the Bible their idols were typically small physical objects and the idolatry that typically went along with the idolatry was fornication with temple prostitutes and in some cases child sacrifice. In modern day America idolatry takes many forms. But since the idols aren't so inherently obvious as a doll sometimes people miss the worship those idols are receiving.

The people call themselves "tolerant" be it atheists or whoever are often the most intolerant. That is not specific to atheists, but liberals in general are unhinged. They talk a good talk about being tolerant when what they really mean "we're only tolerant if you agree with us." The tolerance thing is itself a false idol that puts itself up against true faith. The liberals are bigots by the definition of basically being intolerant of the views of Christians. They only mock the Christians. They never stick it to the Muslims or try to change their religion.

Donald Trump is a flawed person, but he was in fact running against a more despicable person. If you read up on what Hillary Clinton did to the women that Bill Clinton raped/sexual harassed you might not vote for her either. If Trump lost the Supreme Court would be permanently ruined. If Trump did nothing in 4 years, but nominated a good Supreme Court, which he has done already, then for a lot of people the vote is justified. The media is obviously against him, but a lot of people get that he is going to do stuff for this country. The stock market has been soaring since he was elected and he hasn't even done the most important things yet.

That is a huge gray area IMO, I have no problem with gays marrying, I'm not a Baker though..I think its ridiculous to legislate what is acceptable for a bakery to accept or deny. If I was a baker, I'd fill any any order, I understand that some bakers aren't the same as myself and shouldn't be forced to make a cake or pastry they themselves find offensive.
