I basically said this was stupid but am now having fun with it. So I look like even more of an idiot than usual.

Eh, it happens.

It's a bit of a goofy endeavor but most realize it's just something semi-topical to pass the time while College Basketball winds down and MLB starts up. Yes, there's some degree of voting based on who's in/who's out, so to speak, but there's also plenty of votes cast to put someone over regardless b/c of the good work they're doing and/or they've done.

Take CH for example ... MANY of us have gone in hard on him for one reason or another ... and I don't think anyone would consider him on the rolls of the so-called ISOP (perhaps pasta's greatest contribution to the bored) ... but you see, he's a #1 seed and damned deserving of it imo. Meaning you don't have to be a made man to 'win' this thing ... I mean, Peeps won it once ffs.

By the time it's down to 8 or 4 it's all up in the air as the voters get fickle or wish to engage in fuckery for their own amusement ... it's just a natural outgrowth of the nature of the board and the denizens that inhabit it. Just enjoy it as much as you can and cast aside the parts you don't much care for.

Also, don't be stupid - vote for me always.

Well said. I can't argue with any of that. (I don't know where I was when this was going on over the past two years I've been here.) That's true, though--it's a good way to communicate who's done some solid work here driving content and making us laugh.
