Have family in CT and used to get what the best subs from this little family place, they used different bread and a uniquely flavored of what I think was olive oil to coat the bread. This was back in the day before all the chain sub stores hit the Midwest, so it was a fairly unique thing back then.
Enjoy blackened catfish, and loved the blackened gator I had in AL a few years back, so likely would enjoy a day or two in NO, but would need a detox day or two on the back end of the trip.
