From what I've seen on my social media from Cub fans...they're very happy about it.
I don't get the excitement. The Brewers have been very good and have had a nice run making the playoffs. I think that has a lot more to do with General Managing than it does the on-field manager. I personally do not care for Counsell's style of managing, but I do not think he's a BAD manager. I'd say the same about David Ross. All things being equal in terms of roster and GM moves...I don't think Counsell makes the Cubs any better.
