Reiner has confirmed a sequel is underway, starring the original three stars (Guest, McKean, Shearer) as well as Paul McCartney and Elton John. Too bad Tony Hendra (manager Ian Faith) passed away a few years ago.

There technically was a Spinal Tap 2, “The Return of Spinal Tap” in 1992.
