Camp One Step
@CampOneStep
Camp One Step brings happiness, support, strength and hope to hundreds of children each year. Recently, Dan Bernstein made comments on social media that don't reflect our mission. As a result, we've removed him from our board of directors. https://camponestep.org/about/updates/

I'll be shocked if he is in tomorrow to be honest. I don't think they'll fire him, but he'll probably get benched for a week

Then again, I'd imagine this coming recession has Audacy somewhat worried about a drop in ad revenue so they may view this as an opportunity to dump one of their more expensive contracts. If he does get fired, it's a business decision under guise of this event so they can cut costs.

Just some additional back story to this one, but the guy who wrote this had been in a long term relationship with Cheryl Scott so there's an extra angle for him going after Bernstein in this one

Whatever happens, Bernstein better not back down here. It’ll ruin the whole story.

I don’t think the physical threat has gotten nearly enough attention in all of this.

I'm debating if I should make a new twitch account tonight since my previous one was banned from the 670 feed for some minor trolling in the chat.

Why is it all deleted from his account? Also, a CBS 58 weather girl was fired for something very similar up here.

Portnoy and Co laid 17 traps for this guy and only three worked- the stuff with his daughter, breaking up him and LoHo and now the Camp One Step. Amazing that a fish and X troll is what brought him down. The Portnoy minions had a low success rate, but this one is going to hurt.

I emailed one step about him Friday night. I mentioned this, wildebeests and boob and asked how can they keep him.

Dan never threatened him physically. Just used the word 'fight'

Again this is all plausible deniability for the FBI investigation sure to come, not any employer discipline

Not sure I find this commendable. And I'm aware that I'm saying this with an avatar making fun of him.

NGL, I hope Bernstein survives this because otherwise a large group of people here will suddenly be the dog who finally caught up to the car they're chasing.

Dan was telling him that, by continuing, he was threatening his own kids. And not because Dan has stoolies, but he was going to personally mess with the dude and blowback would hit the kids

Now, that is nuance lost on Dan haters here. But that doesn't matter, would it suffice as an explanation to not be disciplined? Seems like a long shot honestly.

That’s not nuance.

Sure it is when you're accusing him of a crime, like the Greg Msngr did

But he definitely did threaten doxing. Though if it's public information I don't think that qualifies either.

If Dan gets fired, I will host a party of the haters. I will hire his wife’s catering company for the event.

Also, people shouldn't be rooting for Audacy to fire what few people are still left in the building. It might be a deathblow to the Score.

I think that's coming anyways before this decade is out. They're going to dump local sports and it won't just be in the Chicago market, but will be an every market change for them.

I don't think they'll go that far: that would mean giving up WFAN, and what was arguably the crown jewel of the company going back to the Entercom days, WEEI. Most of the country, though? They'll just pipe in BetMGM, yeah.

I don't know that Bernstein has earned the free pass of "but wut about stalwart analog radio hosts?!?!?" Either being a horrible douche threatening to involve someone's kids is worth being held accountable or it's not, and Dan has championed for Mariano's floor workers to be fired for a whole helluva lot less. He's got his money, now it's time to experience a fraction of the "professional" strife he deserves for coasting on the misery of others for decades. At worst he'll have to move some money from his trust fund to pay for the ritzy colleges his cumstains attend while he maintains his life in one of the richest parts of the richest cities on the planet. Let's all shed a tear for Dan Bernstein.

We're all here because of either Dan McNeil or Dan Bernstein, and even when we say we stop listening, we always come back. If this is the end for him, which, honestly, looks likelier than it's ever looked in all his Twitter misadventures, there's nothing for us to go back to. The board's essentially out of orbit. Then it's just a bunch of guys crowing over government austerity programs.
