And just for the record I have him to be "better" than the "Generational" one next season too. And "fairly quickly" at that.

Better in which stats?

If they play in the same number of games. Total Tds. (Run and Passing) Avg yard per pass attempt. Completion%. Total Yards from scrimmage. QBR. Avg yards per completion. Number of completions over 20 yards. On target %. Bad throw % TD%

How MANY more do you need?

Just asking a question there partner. The parameters are set per your benchmarks. And by the way, we are only talking about 2025.

Yes that is the point of my previous post. Your stats, Fields v Williams stacked up against each other in 25. Ready to go to war with your boy?

I proposed this four or five pages back.

When it comes to the bets I would honor it. Though I need to refresh on what the parameters were first. However these dudes would declare "victory" simply by "winning" 1 out of 10. And I don't have time for that B.S.

If they play in the same number of games.
1.Total Tds. (Run and Passing)
2. Avg yard per pass attempt.
3. Completion%.
4. Total Yards from scrimmage.
5. QBR.
6. Avg yards per completion.
7. Number of completions over 20 yards.
8. On target %.
9. Bad throw %
10. TD%
Whomever wins 6 of these categories wins. We can another just in case there is a tie? Deal?

You snuck in (games played) Should have an * for when Fields gets benched. Williams will end up with more games if healthy. Change it to number of games while healthy.

It can be number of games played. Keep in mind your "benching" prognostications haven't fared too well in the past have they?

And at this point you're nothing more than a backseat driver. Whenever you had a chance to "put it on the line" you make like Edwin Moses at the 84 summer games.
You're worse than Peep Show Darko when it comes to "side swiping" posting habits.

It's interesting you included at least 4 categories that skew heavily to players who don't throw very much but not a single one about interceptions.

And this is why Brick is still utterly convinced that Caleb Williams had one helluva season. In spite of whatever he says on this particular board

Russell Wilson was always considered the starter. Which in retrospect, was still a most fateful decision on Tomlin's part. And No one still has ever been benched for Tyson Bagent.

It seems that the Jets do not share the sentiments regarding Justin Fields that MANY CFMB football gurus happen to possess

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/444 ... in-gm-says

Quote:
PALM BEACH, Fla. -- New York Jets general manager Darren Mougey left no doubt about the organization's post-Aaron Rodgers quarterback plan, declaring Sunday that Justin Fields is their new QB1.

"We believe Justin is the starter," Mougey told reporters at the annual league meeting. "We believe in Justin. We believe we can win with Justin, so we're excited about Justin."

We will see if they pass on a QB in the first two rounds.

No doubt CB.

Quote:
“If you go back and watch him at Ohio State … big arm … understands how to run an offense when given an opportunity. And just a really, really good person … really intelligent person that knows football.”

Glenn also touched on how the Jets plan to use Fields.

“Obviously, we want to utilize his legs … but we also want him to play quarterback. This offseason, we're gonna allow him doing OTAs to go out there and run the offense, and we're gonna make sure we surround him with the right type of people.”

“I think he's a dynamic player, and I think there is more that we can get out of that player, and I'm looking forward to that. … He hasn’t reached his ceiling.”

I'm proud I do not share the same opinions as the JETS. JET + Dr. Style = MATCH. Seems correct.

He was a bad starting QB for the Bears, no reason he can't be a bad starting QB for the Jets too.

Your "opinions " are what caused the Bears to go 5-12 and lose 10 straight last season. Poles made the moves that you wanted him to make and it blew up in his face

No, I wanted a new head coach to start fresh with Caleb. Also wanted a C and LT/LG,RG. When they kept Eberlose I wanted K.Kingsbury for offensive coordinator.

I'm proud I do not share the same opinions as the JETS. JET + Dr. Style = MATCH. Seems correct.

No it's clear that this particular prognostication was a flop seeing that soon as there were actual games to be played you changed your beat to one who knew all along that Justin would be better because he was more experienced

Caleb's floor is Justin Fields. Easy call with him. Put me down for Bo Nix having more success then Justin Fields.

The He's "Just A Backup" Crowd sure are moving those goalposts quite a bit in lieu of "Recent Developments" aren't they?
