All time choke job. Terrible coaching by Duke. Almost criminal given the talent level they crumbled so badly at the end

Good ol' Dukey. Lost to trash. Running subs in and out in the 1st half while they should have been blowing them out with their top 5 or 6 guys. There's 15 timeouts and 8 ref monitor lookings a half. Nobody is tired. Get a rhythm and spank their ass while the iron is hot.

Flagg short armed a 12 footer. The play was for him, he knew he was going to be the shooter, and that was his effort. Interesting.

Funny how they stopped showing Coach Ks punchable, constipated face as the Dukeys were gacking it away

Yet another major sporting even and sjboyd failed to show up for it. Didn't even show up for the Super Bowl.

This is entirely accurate.

Houston can't shoot--or couldn't, until the end. Especially the threes at the end. Great press.

win win for me. if FLA wins I win my pool $200 but if Houston wins I get 10 free days of doggy daycare which has a street value of $400.

I hated my bracket when I made it cause it was way too much chalk for my liking, but I ended up getting 7/8 elite 8 teams and have been perfect in the F4 so far.

41 minutes of bench time for Duke resulted in 4 points.

Florida rolls. Coach isn't an idiot. When Houston has their inevitable droughts, Florida will jackpot their ass.

If Florida wins tonight I will clear about $700 in the 2 bracket challenges I entered. That will come in handy as I just got my tax bill yesterday

I've already clinched one pool. In a second one, 150 people, I have Florida and my wife has Houston. Depending on which team wins based on everyone's points she or I are a lock for second. We also already have our side wager in place

I had Florida but just cashed out to break even.

They are frustrated by Houston's physicality, and they're starting to let it get in their heads.

Houston may ultimately take this thing.

Duke was the best team in the tourney but blew it.

The refs are calling a completely different game in the 2nd half. Probably could have held and won.

Amazing how many games turn into ref shows. Houston had 4 fouls 23 minutes into the game. Been called for 14 fouls in the last 14 minutes

I don’t care who wins at all but to let them both play pretty physical in the first half then start calling ticky tack calls in the 2nd half is just bad.

What a choke job by Houston in final 2 minutes. Turnovers on last 4 possession.

how bout Ian Eagle, broadcastin' the title game. No Nantz this time. It's taken a while, but he's slowly movin' into the upper echelon. Yet he's still under the radar.

It really is.

I coach basketball and always preach to not complain about the refs and instead adjust our play based on how they're calling the game.

But when you have two halves that essentially have two different sets of refs, it's bogus.

It would have even made more sense to call it tighter in the first half and then let them play down the stretch.

But refs have an inmate need to make themselves part of the story, especially in crunch time, so here we are.

If the second half was called like the first, Houston would have won.

Those are two evenly matched teams, though. They might split a 10-game series 5-5.

Those two and Duke were clearly the three best teams in the tourney.

Kelvin Sampson is one hell of a coach. Recruiting talent is one thing, but his teams are studs defensively every damn year. This year, he actually got a bit of offensive talent to go with it. It is crazy how consistently great Houston is on defense every year, though.

Houston would struggle to win 20 games if they called their "defense" consistently. It's not a football game.

At least this year they had a good offense but you can't play defense like Houston does and then wonder why foul calls suddenly start to pile up at times.

Yeah, but if that's the case, they should have called it in the first half too. They were basically body slamming people.

They should have done that too. Letting them get away with it in the first half doesn't mean they can't start calling them correctly in the second half.
