I work in a small office and we have a text chain that pretty much includes everyone in the office. On most major holidays someone will send a "Happy X" text, which then compels most other people to respond in kind. I never respond to these texts because I don't want to encourage more work texts on holidays. Am I being a jerk, or is it inappropriate to send texts to your coworkers on a holiday?

If they wanna wish a happy easter, then just send a fuckin email to everybody. People shouldn't be jamming people's personal phones with texts and then everybodys replying creating more noise and distractions. These are just coworkers, not friends.
