The final score of Game 1 was not as close as the final appeared to be. The Bulls dug themselves quite a hole in the 1st quarter of this afternoon's game and were immediately down 32-18 after the first 12 minutes to the NBA's #1 team this season. This was a reality check this afternoon by the Cavaliers, who dominated this ballgame.

By the way, I tuned into the ESPN Radio/Chicago Bulls Radio Network postgame show with Steve Kashul, and radio analyst Bill Wennington had the nerve to say that the "Bulls won by 1 point the rest of the game", after losing the first quarter by 14 points! Gimme a break! This was a reality check! The Bulls will be lucky to win a game in this series!

great game by rose if thats any consolation. too bad he got hammered every single drive and didnt even get a free throw attempt until late in the 4th quarter. other than that i think the bulls were just over matched. not surprising. it went about as well as i thought it would. on to the next game. at least theyre still playing.

The Bulls played poorly in almost every category of the game. The turnovers in the first half were real bad and they were just dominated the entire game on the glass. Lebron never really asserted himself in this game, which also has to scare you. I think if the Bulls can cut down the silly turnovers and crash the boards, the series could be competitive. But if the level of play for Chicago is the same as Saturday, then this is a sweep. Noah had a terrible game, and his play will be the key for the Bulls in the rest of the series.

Derrick Rose said something in the Sun-Times today about the Bulls needing to be more physical in Game 2. I'm not so sure it's going to work. Taj Gibson was intimidated at power forward, Luol Deng shot 5/15 from the field, the Bulls' big men in the middle, Joakim Noah & Brad Miller, appeared to be in foul trouble most of the afternoon in Game 1. I won't be shocked if the Cavs do it again tonight in Game 2 and put these Bulls in their place.
