Complete that thought...

Apparently FF shut the game off at that point.

See above post.

Guess who else played great today? :lol:

Cousins? Yeah I guess he did statistically.

Goff

And Stafford was sat in the 4th quarter a couple times in blowouts.

In normal scoring Lamar has played 10 games and scored 224 points and Stafford has played 11 games and scored 224 points.

Try again

We are talking about what they did today. But thats a nice quote that doesnt include any type of context. But I guess Kalif Raymond and Cooper Kupp are equals as each guy’s top WR this year huh?

:lol: I know who you meant. I wouldn’t call his game “great” unless it’s in comparison to his usual performance. He was good and they won - which both of us appreciate. I’ll take it but the Goff vs Stafford argument really isn’t even close.

Goff didnt play great today? He certainly seemed to imo but I was only watching redzone.

To be clear, I know Goff sucks. We agree. Our disagreement is solely Stafford related

I gotta say again, I absolutely love a victory lap over the Jags after the Titans, 49ers, and Packers absolutely embarrassed the Rams. I’d do it too, sincerely, if i was vegan and zippy but its still funny. Bonus points for it coming the same week Goff played just as well with a shitload worse of a supporting cast.

I cant wait until January on this one

He would finish second in mvp votes to Brady if the season ended today.

For one week, yes. If Stafford can win this week (something I’m highly skeptical of), GB has the 1 seed.

I still look forward to you losing money on him in January

Rams, in the most likely scenario?, would have to run the gauntlet of:

@Cowboys and Micah Parsons
@Green Bay
@Tampa

Cowboys don't look good anymore, not sure what's going on. Best WR corps in football probably.

It’s been a while since we initiated this discussion so please indulge me: are you arguing that if the Rams don’t win the SB it was a bad trade?

If they don't win a SB with Stafford (doesn't need to be this year) then yes I think it's unequivocally a bad trade.

It's not only the Stafford trade, Rams are all-in this year and I suppose next+ with the free agent signings and other trades they've made and the assets they've sent out in exchange. Stafford being the most costly part of that (3 draft picks, 2 1st round and a not inconsequential 3rd rd pick). It's a high price to pay if you're only going to lose to Green Bay in the division round. Stafford they probably hoped would bring them a bye and avoid having to play both Rodgers and Brady to get back to the Super Bowl. If Stafford hadn't Stafford'd against the Derrick Henry-less Titans or the Niners even Rams would still have a shot at the bye. McVay has his work cut out for him to navigate 3 rounds on the road with Stafford against....forget it, it's not gonna happen. Be lucky if they get by Dallas.

Yeah, I'm definitely less worried about the Rams than any of the other good NFC teams.

Then he takes a brutal sack to knock them out of FG range :lol:

This is the Stafford I remember. Half of you lost your mind thinking he’s some type of elite guy

Define elite. I don’t think I ever used that term (nor thought it) but he is a top 12 qb imo and a significant improvement over Goff.

According to Tannenbaum’s rankings on ESPN Stafford is 8th. For comparison he has Rodgers, Mahomes and Brady 1-3, Fields 27 and Goff 34.

Is that Mike Tannenbaum, the horrendous GM of the Jets????

I would define elite as exactly what you and others have said, the type of guy that gets the Rams over the hump and winning the SB. And this Rams team currently does not look any different than the Rams of the previous 3-4 years, so I think my take is a lot more accurate so far (not much of a difference between Goff and Stafford) than his (Stafford is the 8th best QB in the NFL - lmfao)

Are you watching this game Zippy?

It's worth mentioning Seattle is one of the very worst defenses in the NFL
