Well we've come to the 2nd major of the year and it's on a pretty familiar course if you follow golf on a regular basis. I am sure the course might be set up a little bit tougher than usual but is usually one of the better manicured courses and popular events on tour the last number of years. Rory McIlroy has won there 4 different times and Justin Thomas won a previous PGA Championship here in 2017. He might be one to watch after a solid tournament last week.

With all of the rain, if it was a bombers paradise before, can’t imagine how long it is going to play.

Kicks off this morning. I'd expect some relatively low scoring with the course playing pretty wet. Probably a lot of mud balls unless they are allowing clean and place. Just hoping for a nice leaderboard going into the weekend.

You can't win the PGA in the first round but you can certainly shoot your way out of it. Quite a few big names didn't step up and to be honest quite a few of the guys were complaining about the mud balls which is complete luck whether you get a bad one or not. Rose +5, Koepka +4, McIlroy, Canlay and Speith are +3. The course is just going to get more difficult so will be interesting to see if anyone can get near double digits under by today. I kinda doubt it.

It really is kind of ridiculous when you had the kind of rain that they had the past few days before the tournament started to not let them play lift clean and place .

I hate the idea of preferred lies.

Weather and the impact of weather should be part of the game.

Schauffele making the turn is a little like P Diddy at a 24 hour freak off. Running out of holes here.

Scheffler will be tough to catch but should be an interesting day. This course is pretty fun.

That’s a pretty great Tiger Woods commercial.

Scottie Scheffler is good at golf. Seems to be an even better human being too.

What’s the Perkins situation in north Texas?

was hoping to see a Bryson and Scottie battle on the last day. But Bryson just could never get things going. Scottie is just a machine.
