is it too early to get excited

I didn't think he had the catching ability he has shown. I'll be really interested to see how he does in blocking.

I love the fact that I knew who posted this just by looking at the thread title alone.

I am excited about Monangai. I really hope he can continue to impress because I have little faith in Swift as a ball carrier and even less faith in Johnson.

On another note: Ben Johnson really seems to have disliked Poles' offensive personnel:

4/5 of the offensive line has already been replace, the drafting of Loveland is bad news for Kmet, and Burden/OZ will spell the end for Tyler Scott.

I mistakenly opened this thread thinking it was a White Sox post ana was trying to figure out what he was doing with the name thing.

Then I went back and looked and saw it was a Bears thread.

He definitely seems like a late round hit so far.

Clay Harbor has been in a constant orgasmic state over Trapilo for the past couple of weeks.

I really hope Johnson has helped raise Poles' hit rate in the draft.

But will USA and CB finally blow their loads over a Pole’s move? That is when you know the juice is worth the squeeze.

Yeah I been reading his stuff on Trapilo. If Trapilo hits as a good player it suddenly makes the rest of the line so much better. It also sounds like their new OL coach is considered really good by people around the league. That should be a major plus as well.

We should see a tangible effect of finally having good position coaches. No bright coaches in the NFL were hitching their wagon to Matt Eberflus.

Yeah, Roushar seems like a great get by Johnson. Really, Johnson seems to have loaded his staff with very good coaches. What a strange turn of events.

True. Eberflus coaches were guys that had to be removed from the building. Did we ever get a real story on what happened to his DC? Was it Williams?

Every single nudge, nudge, wink, wink allusion to it on the Score can be summarized as he was watching porn on his computer at the facility but the Bears beat reporters are so worthless none of them have written anything on the record.

Nagy's guys were also mostly subpar too. Nagy also not really respected by anyone around the league other than Andy Reid.

Hopefully Johnson made the picks and Poles picked up lunch

Clay Harbor has been hypebeasting nobodies for literally a decade now.

I didn't know it was that long. But he's certainly got a lot of opinions, many of which have been proven wrong.

I need to maintain some semblance of hope, though, because it's just going to be too depressing otherwise.

Ben wants to run 12 personnel. I think Kmet is fine but they need a different type of TE opposite Cole so they went Loveland over Warren because Tyler was too similar to Cole. They’re going to use a ton of pre snap motion to move pieces around to exploit the defenses and create openings. And a lot of that is going to involve the two TE sets.

As for Monangai if you watch his tape he looks a lot like Jeanty when running the ball, he’s even got that stout bowling ball build like Ashton. He’s not as fast tho. I too think Monangai will make an impact this year tho for the Bears.
