In my opinion, the Bulls need to not only cut their losses with Vinny Del Negro as head coach, but Uncle Jerry should do the same with Executive V.P. John Paxson as well. For a guy who cleaned up a lot of the stench of former G.M. Jerry Krause, Paxson and the current General Manager Gar Forman lack people skills. There could be consequences beyond the worst kept secret in North America, VDN's firing the minute Chicago Bulls Basketball concludes for this season, but this summer when the Bulls cleared a lot of salary cap space in hopes of becoming a player in the much-publicized NBA free agent class of 2010 this summer.

In short, history could repeat itself for the Bulls. They had a lot of salary space a decade ago, and got nothing to show for it. It could happen again, especially in the wake of this ugly incident.

 It's about time you responded to this. I believe it went like this:

We were talking about people on the board that we've met and people we liked from the board. And some people were also talking about you (go die  ) - anyway, somebody mentioned your passion about Wu-Tang. I said that RPB's mentioned other bands that he likes, and they're usually some out-of-nowhere band that you wouldn't expect like "third eye blind or squeeze".

And then you hit us w/ Soul Asylum.

Rumor has it you loved the Reuniting The Band episode with Squeeze. You know Squeeze, "Tempted by the fruit of another...."

Not that it matters at this point, but I guess that VDN didn't just get slapped around like a sally:

Source: Not first incident with Del Negro

http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nba/n ... id=5086856

Chicago Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro initiated the physical contact with executive vice president John Paxson during an altercation on March 30 -- contrary to a report that painted Paxson as the aggressor -- a source close to the situation told ESPNChicago.com.

ESPNChicago.com Bulls blog
The latest news from Bulls reporter Nick Friedell. Blog

...a source close to the situation disputed who initiated that argument, and said that it wasn't the first altercation Del Negro has had with management. The source said that Del Negro and Bulls general manager Gar Forman had an altercation in Forman's office that was similar, but did not give details.

"So this was not the first time [Del Negro] exhibited this behavior," the source said.

A call placed to Del Negro on Wednesday afternoon was not immediately returned.

The relationship between Paxson and Del Negro has been deteriorating for some time and reached a head over the use of Noah, who has been hurting since mid-January. Del Negro, the source said, directly defied orders by Paxson and Forman in playing Noah seven minutes longer than ordered to against the Portland Trail Blazers on Feb. 26 when Noah was "clearly hurting," according to the source.

"[Del Negro] put his own interest ahead of the Bulls," the source said.

Noah missed the next 10 games, all Bulls losses.

The source said when Noah was brought back a second time after the injury, it was made even more clear to Del Negro what Noah's time limit was, but he was allowed to save a minute or two for close games or play Noah for one possession at the end if he had already reached his time limit and the game was close. Those were the only exceptions. And Del Negro looked for "loopholes," the source said.

With Missy's column I don't know if it's Pax or VDN that has the fire and the passion. I need to decide so I can see who is right.

It's ESPN Chicago, which means AM1000, which means the Bulls. We need the giant pile of salt for this.

Then I also need to know if Missy Isaacson sat on the story for a month.

Fuck Paxson.VDN, the chairman and the rest of the Bulls. IF M Jeff doesn't fall into Jaba the Hut laps this would have been one of the worst franchises in NBA History.

Wu Tang...Reinsdorf dispatched the source, Pete Myers, to make sure none of "the family" got blamed for this.

I would just say after tonight or the 4 game sweep by the Cavs, just fire all 3 of them and rebuild.

Sounds like the Bulls are looking for a "for cause" reason to fire VDN--which would mean they wouldn't have to pay the year remaining on his contract. Bulls are currently still paying Scott Skiles to coach another team (well, the difference in salary).

All of this = Bulls organization is a pariah on the free agent market. That's a done deal. Ain't no big name free agent gonna come within 100 miles of Chicago UNLESS the Bulls overpay like mad.

And the Bulls aren't going to do that.

He may have some aggressions he needs to relieve if you know what I mean. Vinny likes working over the ladies at Gibson's after the game. My girlfriend (the source that I trust) said he strolled in last week and immediately started picking up on her and her friends. The time was about 9:50 or less than 20 minutes after the game ended two weeks ago. I cannot remember the specific date other than it was Tues-Thurs.

The girl friend told him I was a big fan of his which was a lie. Not sure if she lied about getting his phone number and we didn't get tickets out of the deal. As you could expect he is pretty sure of himself.

All good here. Confident that the little woman didn't sample Bull meats. Would have posted this earlier but knew grief would be given. Now knowing Vinny has a little extra frustration.
